Three years ago, the Vinoteka Otilija wineshop was opened at the Selak Homestead in Šentjernej. In 2016, a display of musical instruments was put on view here, a permanent collection of musical instruments entrusted to Janez Selak by the first conductor of the Šentjernej Wind Band, Mladen Škrbič, who was also a teacher of wind instruments at the Marjan Kozina Music School in Novo mesto. After Škrbič died, his son donated the collection to Selak. The collection consists of around 200 different instruments from all around the world, and includes Indian, North American, South American and Brazilian instruments, as well as a German zither and a Russian balalaika. Most of the instruments are still in working order.
